It brings Sanas Speech AI directly into the Chrome browser, enabling Chrome OS users to access Sanas. All Speech AI processing is offloaded to a remote inference backend, and the user gets access to consistent performance. > [!NOTE] > Note: The Chrome Extension works only with conferencing and softphone applications that run inside a browser (for example, Zoom Web or Google Meet). Users on dedicated desktop applications must continue to use the [**Sanas Desktop Application**](https://help.sanas.ai/docs/sign-in-to-sanas#sign-in-to-the-sanas-application) instead. --- ## How It Works? To get started, contact [Sanas Support](mailto:support@sanas.ai) to obtain your organization's **Endpoint URL**. This URL is the access point that users' machines connect to for audio synthesis while using Sanas. Depending on your organization's requirements, Sanas Support will provision an Endpoint URL that points to one of the following: | **Option** | **Description** | | --- | --- | | Sanas Cloud | Sanas-hosted infrastructure, available in Singapore and the United States regions. Ideal for organizations that prefer a fully managed, low-overhead deployment. | | Self-Hosted | Sanas Speech AI models are hosted on your organization's own infrastructure. Ideal for organizations with strict data residency or network isolation requirements. | Once you have your Endpoint URL, your administrator can complete remote inference configuration in the **Sanas Portal**. > [!NOTE] > Note: Ensure that all users can reach the configured Endpoint URL from their network via HTTPS on Port 443. --- ## Steps to Install Install the extension on the user's machine from the Chrome Web Store. 1. On the user's machine, open **Google Chrome**. 2. Navigate to the [Sanas Chrome Extension](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/sanas/kodimlanghipegcfnhhdffgahhkdcdph) page on the Chrome Web Store. > [!NOTE] > *Note: The current Sanas Chrome Extension version is:* ***1.10.3****.* 3. Click **Add to Chrome**. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/9bc36e9c-f402-4213-b56f-4ecdf805bb1a/Images/Documentation/Sanas Chrome Ext Get.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-26T11%3A11%3A21Z&se=2026-10-26T12%3A11%3A21Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=8HW%2Fhbet987sm%2FEC%2FE3ERtGLf7SC%2FFIFglXVbqjLLLI%3D) 4. On the confirmation dialog, click **Add Extension**. The Sanas icon appears in the Chrome toolbar once the installation is complete. > [!NOTE] > Note: If your organization manages Chrome browser settings centrally (for example, via Google Admin Console or a device management policy), you can push the extension to user machines without requiring manual installation. Contact [Sanas Support](mailto:support@sanas.ai) for guidance on managed deployment. --- ## Verify Authentication Mode The Sanas Chrome Extension currently supports the following login options below. Verify that the group you are configuring uses either methods before proceeding. #### User Activation Key (UAK) 1. Log in to the [Sanas Portal](https://portal.sanas.ai) using your credentials. 2. Navigate to **Settings > Configuration**, then select **Application Authentication** under **Platform Authentication**. 3. Ensure **UAK** is selected. If not, update it before continuing. ![Settings page showing application authentication options, highlighting user activation key selection.](https://cdn.document360.io/9bc36e9c-f402-4213-b56f-4ecdf805bb1a/Images/Documentation/Untitled 15(6).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-26T11%3A11%3A21Z&se=2026-10-26T12%3A11%3A21Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=8HW%2Fhbet987sm%2FEC%2FE3ERtGLf7SC%2FFIFglXVbqjLLLI%3D) #### Single Sign-On (SSO) 1. Log in to the [Sanas Portal](https://portal.sanas.ai) using your credentials. 2. Navigate to **Settings > Configuration**, then select **Application Authentication** under **Platform Authentication**. 3. Ensure **SSO** is selected, then **Domain based** under redirection type. If not, update it before continuing.![](https://cdn.document360.io/9bc36e9c-f402-4213-b56f-4ecdf805bb1a/Images/Documentation/SSO Authentication Mode - Sanas Chrome Extension(3).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-26T11%3A11%3A21Z&se=2026-10-26T12%3A11%3A21Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=8HW%2Fhbet987sm%2FEC%2FE3ERtGLf7SC%2FFIFglXVbqjLLLI%3D) > [!NOTE] > Note: Verify with your Sanas point of contact (POC) or contact [Sanas Support](mailto:support@sanas.ai) to confirm that this feature has been enabled for your organization. Otherwise, it will not be accessible from your account. --- ## Configure Remote Inference on the Sanas Portal Remote inference must be configured on the Group before users can authenticate with the extension. 1. On Portal’s Group Tree, select the Group you want to configure remote inferencing for. > [!NOTE] > Note: For account-wide configuration, select your Sanas Account instead of an individual Group. 2. Navigate to **Settings > Configuration**, then select **Remote Inferencing** under **Group / Account Settings**. 3. Enter the **Endpoint URL** provided by Sanas in the respective field, then click **Save**. Users will be routed to this access point while using Sanas. > [!NOTE] > Note: Contact [Sanas Support](mailto:support@sanas.ai) to obtain your Endpoint URL. Ensure that all users can reach the configured Endpoint URL from their network via HTTPS on Port 443. ![Settings page showing configuration for remote inferencing and endpoint address input.](https://cdn.document360.io/9bc36e9c-f402-4213-b56f-4ecdf805bb1a/Images/Documentation/Untitled 4(8).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-26T11%3A11%3A21Z&se=2026-10-26T12%3A11%3A21Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=8HW%2Fhbet987sm%2FEC%2FE3ERtGLf7SC%2FFIFglXVbqjLLLI%3D) 4. Once the endpoint is saved, configure the inferencing settings: 1. On the **Configuration** tab, select **Accent Translation** under **Products**. 2. Select **Remote Inference** under **Inference Mode**. 3. *(Optional)* Select your preferred Speech AI model from the drop-down menu. Sanas automatically selects the recommended model. 4. *(Optional)* Enable the **Lock Configuration** toggle to enforce this inferencing configuration across subgroups and prevent subgroup administrators from modifying it. ![Settings page showing accent translation options and remote inferencing selection.](https://cdn.document360.io/9bc36e9c-f402-4213-b56f-4ecdf805bb1a/Images/Documentation/Untitled 13(4).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-26T11%3A11%3A21Z&se=2026-10-26T12%3A11%3A21Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=8HW%2Fhbet987sm%2FEC%2FE3ERtGLf7SC%2FFIFglXVbqjLLLI%3D) 5. Click **Save** to apply the changes. --- ## Add Users to the Portal Add users to the Portal and assign them to the Group. Refer to [**App Users Management**](https://help.sanas.ai/docs/manage-app-users) for detailed instructions. If your organization uses the User Activation Key (UAK) authentication mode, share the following credentials with each user : - **Account ID** — located at the top of the Group Tree. This is common across all users in your account. - **User ID** — unique to each user. --- ## Test Your Setup Add a temporary user to the configured Group and install the Sanas Chrome Extension on your Chrome browser to verify the installation and portal configuration setup. Please refer to the link below on how to test the Chrome Extension: - [**Signing In to Sanas Chrome Extension**](https://help.sanas.ai/docs/sign-in-to-sanas#sanas-chrome-extension) --- ### FAQs #### What are the different status indicators in the Sanas Chrome Extension widget? | Color Indicator | What does it mean? | | --- | --- | | 🟢 **Green** | You are logged in, the connection to the remote server is correctly set up, **and** Sanas Microphone is selected in your softphone. Everything is working. | | 🔴 **Red** | Either the connection to the remote server is broken, **or** Sanas Microphone is not selected in your softphone. | #### Why is audio not flowing even though the connection is established? A common issue for **Sanas Chrome Extension**: If the required ports are blocked, outbound traffic fails and no audio is sent, resulting in one-way audio loss in the outbound direction. **How to identify it?** 1. Collect the console logs (see steps below) and look for repeated entries showing zero packets sent, followed by a “no outbound audio” error: ```plaintext [INJECT_SANAS-INFO][17:52:17.129][TOP] [DIAG] OUTBOUND: packetsSent=0 bytesSent=0 | recent: +0 pkts, +0 bytes | ICE=checking PC=connecting [INJECT_SANAS-INFO][17:52:20.130][TOP] [DIAG] OUTBOUND: packetsSent=0 bytesSent=0 | recent: +0 pkts, +0 bytes | ICE=checking PC=connecting [INJECT_SANAS-ERROR][17:52:20.130][TOP] [DIAG] *** NO OUTBOUND AUDIO *** ``` 2. The status badge in the UI typically flickers between green and amber as the extension repeatedly tries to reconnect. > [!TIP] > **Tip in collecting console logs:** > > If you run into an issue, please collect the Chrome console logs and share them with support. They help us diagnose the problem quickly. > > 1. Open the Console: **Right-click** anywhere on the page and select **Inspect**, then open the **Console** tab. (Shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+J on Windows/Linux, Cmd+Option+J on Mac.) > 2. Reproduce the issue so the relevant messages are captured. > 3. Save the logs: **Right-click** anywhere in the Console and select "**Copy Console**". This copies the console logs into clipboard. --- ## Support Need help?
