By the end of this guide, the extension will be installed on a user's machine, remote inference will be configured, and ready to test their first Sanas-enabled call. > [!TIP] > *Tip: For in-app guidance, search for* ***"Configure Remote Inferencing"*** *in the* ***Sanas Help*** *widget from the Sanas Portal.* --- ### Before You Begin Ensure the following are in place before starting: - You must have access to the Sanas Portal and have the following permissions, **Group Settings** or **Account Settings**: **Full Access**. - You must have decided upon the preferred remote inferencing option — **Sanas Cloud** or **Self-Hosted**. If your organization is pursuing self-hosted inference, contact [Sanas Support](mailto:support@sanas.ai) to complete the additional technical setup before proceeding further. - You’ve understood the Chrome extension’s requirements. On the user's machine, open **Google Chrome**. 2. Navigate to the [Sanas Chrome Extension](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/sanas/kodimlanghipegcfnhhdffgahhkdcdph) page on the Chrome Web Store. > [!NOTE] > *Note: The current Sanas Chrome Extension version is:* ***1.4.0****.* 3. The Sanas icon appears in the Chrome toolbar once the installation is complete. > [!NOTE] > *Note: If your organization manages Chrome browser settings centrally (for example, via Google Admin Console or a device management policy), you can push the extension to user machines without requiring manual installation. Verify that the group you are configuring uses either methods before proceeding. 1. **User Activation Key (UAK)** 1. Log in to the [Sanas Portal](https://portal.sanas.ai) using your credentials. 2. Navigate to **Settings > Configuration**, then select **Application Authentication** under **Platform Authentication**. 3. Ensure **UAK** is selected. Log in to the [Sanas Portal](https://portal.sanas.ai) using your credentials. 2. Navigate to **Settings > Configuration**, then select **Application Authentication** under **Platform Authentication**. 3. Ensure **SSO** is selected, then **Domain based** under redirection type. On Portal’s Group Tree, select the Group you want to configure remote inferencing for. > [!NOTE] > *Note: For account-wide configuration, select your Sanas Account instead of an individual Group.* 2. Navigate to **Settings > Configuration**, then select **Remote Inferencing** under **Group / Account Settings**. 3. Enter the **Endpoint URL** provided by Sanas in the respective field, then click **Save**. Users will be routed to this access point while using Sanas. > [!NOTE] > *Note: Contact* [*Sanas Support*](mailto:support@sanas.ai) *to obtain your Endpoint URL. Once the endpoint is saved, configure the inferencing settings: 1. On the **Configuration** tab, select **Accent Translation** under **Products**. 2. Select **Remote Inference** under **Inference Mode**. 3. *(Optional)* Select your preferred Speech AI model from the drop-down menu. Refer to [Add User](/portalv3/docs/add-app-users#add-app-users) for detailed instructions. If your organization uses the User Activation Key (UAK) authentication mode, share the following credentials with each user : - **Account ID** — located at the top of the Group Tree.
