Configure accents for a Workspace

Overview

This guide explains how to update source and target accents for your workspace. When you change accent settings, Sanas automatically selects the optimal AI model and deploys it to your users seamlessly.

📔 Note: We recommend avoiding frequent changes to workspace accents, as they trigger the AI model to update for all app users in the Workspace.

How accent changes work

When you AI modify accent configuration, here's what happens:

  • Automatic AI model selection - Sanas analyzes your new accent pairing and updates the AI model if required.

  • Seamless background update -

    • During the download:

      • Users continue working with their current model. Only the accent translation becomes temporarily unavailable during the update period if the new configured accent requires a different AI model

      • New AI model downloads silently in the background

      • No service interruption or forced restarts.

    • After the download completes:

      • App automatically switches to the new AI model seamlessly

      • Full accent translation capability restored

      • No user action required.

Before you begin

  • Verify app version compatibility - Only users on Sanas app version 4.4.X or higher receive automatic AI model updates.

  • Users on older versions:

    • Continue using their current AI model

    • Retain existing accent translation capabilities

    • Receive AI model update after upgrading to v4.4.X+

  • Recommendation: Update users to the latest version before changing accents to ensure a consistent experience.
