Introduction

Voice profiles are essential to delivering accurate accent translation and maintaining a natural, engaging conversational tone. The Lock Voice Profile feature allows administrators to enforce a specific voice profile for Accent Translation (AT) users, ensuring consistency across their organization's Sanas usage.

Lock Profile Selection

Lock Voice Profile Selection is an administrative feature available for AT workspaces. When enabled, it ensures that users are assigned and locked to a specific voice profile within the Sanas app. Upon enabling the feature, users running a supported app version (4.6.x or above) will be prompted to select a voice profile the next time they launch the app. Once a profile is selected and saved, it is tagged to the user's account and cannot be changed from the app interface.

Administrators can review and update voice profile selections for users at any time through the Portal.

Prerequisites

  • Minimum required app version: Lock Voice Profile Selection is supported on Sanas app version 4.6.x and above. Users running an older version will not be affected by the feature, even if it has been enabled in the workspace. Ensure all users in the workspace are running a compatible version before proceeding.

  • Administrator access: You must have Administrator-level access to the Portal to enable this feature.

Enabling Lock Voice Profile Selection

  1. Log in to the Portal.

  2. Navigate to Settings > Lock Voice Profile Selection.

  3. Toggle On the setting.

Reviewing or Updating a User's Voice Profile

To review or update the voice profile assigned to an AT user, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Sanas Portal and ensure the correct workspace is selected in the top-left corner.

  2. Click Users, then open the App Users tab and select the team the user belongs to.

  3. Locate the user in the list. Their current voice profile is displayed under the Voice column.

  4. To update the profile, click the action button (â‹®) next to the user and select Change User Profile.User management interface showing assigned users, logged out users, and options to add users.

  5. Select the preferred voice profile, then click Save.

Selecting a Voice Profile (First-Time Setup)

  1. Launch the Sanas app on your computer and activate it.

  2. A voice profile selection prompt will appear automatically.

  3. Select your preferred voice profile and click Update Now.

  4. Your selected profile will be applied immediately.
