# Override default AI models

## Overview

This guide shows you how to manually select AI models for your workspace, overriding Sanas-recommended defaults.

**About our recommendations**: Sanas recommends AI models based on your workspace's configured accents, informed by internal testing and customer feedback. While we optimize for performance and reliability, you can choose any available model to meet specific requirements.

## Before You Begin

- **Check app version compatibility-** Model updates only reach users on the Sanas app version **4.4.X** or higher. Users on older versions continue using their current model until they upgrade

→ **Action needed**: Update users to the latest app version to enable model switchability.
- **Verify auto-update configuration -** Model updates deploy according to your configured update preferences. Ensure auto-update is properly configured before proceeding.

## Select a Different AI Model

### Step 1: Access the Download App Page

1. Log in to [Sanas Portal](https://portal2.sanas.ai/) with your credentials.
2. Click **Download App** in the left navigation panel.

### Step 2: Initiate Model Selection

Click **Start Update** to begin the model selection process.

### Step 3: Choose Models

Select your preferred AI model from the dropdown menu for each Sanas capability:

### Step 4: Deploy the Update

1. Click **Start Auto Update** after making your selections.
2. Users on compatible app versions (**v4.4.X+**) receive an update notification.
3. Users proceed with the update based on their configured preferences.
