Sanas Accent Translation: Best Practices and Guidelines

To ensure optimal performance and smooth operation of the Sanas Accent Translation, please follow these Dos and Don’ts. These guidelines will help maintain accuracy and improve communication quality.

DOs:

  1. Daily Restart of System

    • Make sure your system is restarted daily to avoid performance issues and ensure smooth functionality.

  2. Launch and Enable Sanas Application

    • Always check that the Sanas application is launched, logged in, and enabled before you begin your work. Refer to "Using Sanas Accent Translation V2" for a step-by-step guide on how to do this.

  3. USB Headset Selection

    • Verify that the correct USB headset is selected in the Sanas application. USB headsets are essential for maintaining the best audio quality and ensuring proper accent translation.

  4. Set Input Microphone to Sanas Virtual Microphone in Dialer

    • Ensure that in the dialer, the input microphone is set to "Sanas Virtual Microphone" for the translation service to work correctly.

  5. Use Only a USB Headset with Sanas

    • Always use a USB headset when using Sanas. Avoid using analog headsets or any other type of microphone setup.

  6. Speak Clearly and Enunciate

    • To enhance the accuracy of accent translation, always speak clearly and enunciate every word properly.

DON’Ts:

  1. Never Select Sanas SPEAKER in the Dialer

    • Do not set "Sanas SPEAKER" as the output device in the dialer. This will cause improper audio routing.

  2. Never Set Sanas SPEAKER as Default in System Audio

    • Avoid setting "Sanas SPEAKER" as the default output device in your system's audio settings. It can cause conflicts with other audio functions.

  3. Avoid Using External Webcam Microphones

    • If you are using an external webcam with a built-in microphone, make sure that the webcam mic is not selected as the input device in the Sanas application. Always use your USB headset for input.

  4. Never Exit Sanas During a Call

    • Do not exit the Sanas application while on a call. Doing so will interrupt the accent translation service.

  5. Change Input Device if Sanas is Exited

    • If you exit the Sanas application, ensure you change the input device in the dialer back to your headphones (or appropriate microphone) instead of Sanas.

  6. Never Logout or Deactivate Key Manually

    • Never log out or deactivate the key manually from the Sanas application. If you do so, the auto-login feature will not work, and you will need to log back in manually by entering your credentials.

  7. Avoid Whispering, Mumbling, or Speaking Very Fast

    • Whispering, mumbling, or speaking too fast can negatively affect the application's ability to process your voice accurately. Always maintain a moderate, clear pace when speaking.

Best Practices:

  1. Sanas Recommended Settings

    • Always configure your system according to Sanas' recommended settings to optimize the system’s performance. These settings are designed to ensure the highest audio clarity and accurate translation.

  2. Microphone Positioning

    • Proper microphone positioning is key to high-quality audio capture. Make sure your USB headset microphone is positioned close to your mouth but not touching it to prevent distortion and ensure clear audio input.
