Licensing Failure Scenarios - Troubleshooting Guide

This documentation aims to provide comprehensive guidance in diagnosing and resolving licensing failures for the Sanas application.

Licensing issues can be attributed to various factors, and a systematic approach is essential to identify and address them effectively.

To address the licensing issue, please follow the steps outlined below:

Verify URL Whitelisting:

  • Check and confirm that the URLs required to use the Sanas application are whitelisted.

  • Verify that the firewall does not block the connection of the Sanas application to the required URLs.

  • If the antivirus installed on the system detects Sanas as a non-trusted executable, add Sanas.exe to the AV exclusion tab.

  • Launch a web browser and access the URL “portal.sanas.ai” to confirm the URL and firewall whitelisting.

Note: If the above four steps are cleared and the issue still remains, proceed with the next steps below.

Open Registry Editor in Admin Mode:

  • Navigate to Start > Registry Editor (Admin mode).

Verify Registry Key:

  • Go to the following registry path: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sanas.ai\Sanas Accent Translator.

  • Verify if the MachineLicenseKey is set to "XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX" without quotes. This step ensures there are no discrepancies in the license key.

Delete Registry Folder:

  • Delete the Sanas.ai registry folder by navigating to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sanas.ai\.

Uninstall SANAS AI Application:

  • Access Programs and Features from the Control Panel.

  • Right-click on Sanas Accent Translator and select uninstall.

Delete Temporary Cache Files:

  • Navigate to Start > %temp%.

  • Select all files, then press Shift + Delete + Enter to delete them permanently.

Reboot the System:

  • Restart your computer to ensure all changes take effect.

Check Server Accessibility:

  • Open Command Prompt and type ping portal.sanas.ai to confirm if the server is accessible.

Install SANAS AI:

  • Open Command Prompt in Admin mode and navigate to the folder containing the SANAS .exe file.

Enter the command:

  • SanasAccentTranslator-V1-X.XX.XXXX.X-XXX-prod.exe LICENSEKEY="XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX" /q.

  • Note: Ensure that you have administrative privileges to perform these actions. Additionally, replace "XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX" with your actual license key if different.

  • If the problem persists, please get in touch with technical support for further assistance.
