New releases

1. New app activation mode – SSO on Sanas AT app

We've introduced SSO (Single Sign-On) as a new App Activation Mode to enhance security and simplify user access management.

📔 Note: The Sanas app SSO configuration is available from the Sanas AT app version 3.1.38 and above. Users of older app versions can continue using the existing app activation mode.

Enhancements:

  • Seamless access management: Users can only activate the Sanas app with SSO credentials if this mode is enabled.

  • Backward compatibility: Users on older app versions can continue with the existing UAK/AA activation modes.

  • Optional team mapping: An optional “sanasTeam” parameter allows auto-mapping users to specific teams upon login.

Refer to the App SSO Configuration Guide for step-by-step setup.

2. Show/Hide Incompatible Setup Warning on the App

Customer Issue:

  • Some customers requested a provision to hide the incompatibility messages from the app user because the app user can not take action for incompatibilities like CPU issues, etc.

Implementation Guidelines:

  1. The new cards "Show Incompatible Message to App Users" are shown on the settings page under App Configuration.

  2. By default, the Show warning message and allow app users to skip is enabled.

  3. Access Control:

    1. Both Sanas admin and Workspace admin can review or modify the configuration.

  4. While disabling & enabling, a confirmation popup is shown with the impact of the change.

    1. The pop-up also shows the requirement for the minimum app version for the feature.

  5. After confirmation, the setting would be changed to Disabled / enabled.

3. Portal Walkthrough Guide

Issue:

Lack of clarity in the mental model for new users regarding key concepts such as Workspace, User Types, Inviting Users, User Roles, and Whitelisting, leading to confusion and inefficiencies in onboarding and Adoption.

Feature:

A Guided Onboarding Experience that walks new users through essential Admin concepts like Workspace, User Types, Inviting Users, User Roles, and Whitelisting. This step-by-step guide will help them quickly understand and navigate the platform, reducing confusion and improving onboarding efficiency.

4. Bi-Directional Noise Cancellation

Objective:

  1. To provide the ability for Admins to opt for Bi-directional NC.

  2. Once selected, the admins should have the ability to:

    1. Settings - Choose the user preference for both Mic and Speaker

Feature details:

  • Reports is planned for the next release scheduled for April 23rd.

BDNC configuration menu:

On the Portal Settings page, under App Configuration, shown the Noise Cancellation settings.

which would contain:

  • Shown only on NC Workspaces.

  • Allows noise cancellation for outgoing and incoming audio.

  • Allows noise cancellation for outgoing audio only.

5. Workspace level search of users

Issue:

  • Customers want to reactivate previously deactivated app users.

  • The list has a lot of users that are present in the list and are difficult to search.

  • Currently, we support only searching App users inside the team.

  • As the size of Workspace grew, the number of teams and users also went up.

  • Portal users found it challenging to search for a user, as they had to search inside each team.

Feature:

  1. Added a workspace level search on the App Users page, which can search for:

    1. Teams

    2. Activated Users

    3. Deactivated Users

  2. Added search functionality on the Deactivated Users page.

6. Support for special characters (such as ‘) for App Users

Issue:

Previously, the Portal and App did not support adding app users with special characters (e.g., in their user ID). This particularly impacted European users who used their email ID as their user ID.

Feature:

  • Support for special characters in the App User's User ID has been added.

    • TaskUs has repeatedly asked for this support.
