Enforce Sanas synthesis for all app users

Introduction

Enforcing Sanas synthesis for all app users in a Sanas Workspace removes the ability to disable Sanas synthesis manually from the Sanas app for the app users. Admins can ensure that all app users in a Sanas Workspace have Sanas enabled all the time during an active app session, aligning with their organization’s policies and providing the best calling experience all the time. Upon configuration, the app users can no longer see the Sanas toggle.

If required, Admin can still disable Sasas for Team and Individual app users if Sanas synthesis is enforced at the Workspace level.

This guide provides instructions on configuring the app from the Sanas Portal.

Feature availability

By default, Sanas synthesis isn’t enforced on any Workspace but can be configured by the Admin. To configure this feature, ensure the deployed Sanas apps are on the below app versions:

  • Accent Translation: App version 2.24.1205.9 and above

  • Noise Cancellation: App version v2.24.1205.8 and above

Before you begin

  • You’ll need the admin role privileges on the Sanas Portal to modify Sanas app configurations.

Configuration steps

The synthesis enforcement procedure is common for the Sanas NC and AT apps. The steps below demonstrate the steps for the Sanas AT app, but the same could be followed for the NC app.

ℹ️ Important: Upon the synthesis enforcement, the Sanas app gets enabled for any user who has manually disabled it in a current active ongoing session. Users will not be able to manually turn it off from the app. However, in this scenario, the Admin can manually disable Sanas for an entire Team in the Workspace or Individual user if required.

  1. Navigate to the Sanas Portal using your credentials.

  2. Click Settings from the left-side navigation.

  3. Scroll down to the User Preference section, and select the Disallow users to Enable/ Disable Accent Translation option.

📔 Note: For Sanas NC, you’ll see the Disallow users to Enable/ Disable Noise Cancellation.

  4. Click Save to apply the changes.

Disable Sanas for a Team

Disabling Sanas for an entire team is possible only if the Sanas synthesis is enforced for its parent Workspace.

  1. Log in to the Sanas Portal using your credentials, and navigate to your desired Workspace.

  2. Click Users from the left-side navigation, and ensure you are on the App users tab.

  3. Click the ellipsis () menu button next to the Team you wish to act on, then click Disable Sanas for all.

  4. Repeat the above steps if you wish to re-enable Sanas for the Team.

Disable Sanas for an individual user

Disabling Sanas for an individual app user is possible only if the Sasnas synthesis is enforced in their current Workspace.

  1. Log in to the Sanas Portal using your credentials, and navigate to your desired Workspace.

  2. Click Users from the left-side navigation, and ensure you are on the App users tab.

  3. Select the Team to which the app user is currently added.

  4. Click the ellipsis () menu button next to the app user for whom you wish to disable Sanas, then click Disable Sanas.

  5. Repeat the above steps to re-enable Sanas for the app user.
