Introduction

This guide explains the noise cancellation with the Omni Directional capabilities feature on the Sanas Noise Cancellation (NC) app and provides a procedure for configuring it from the Sanas Portal.

🎉 Feature availability: The omni directional noise cancellation feature is available in the Sanas NC app version 3.2.17 and above. Ensure your Sanas NC app is running the latest available version.

What is Omni Directional Noise Cancellation?

Omni Directional noise cancellation utilizes our advanced speech understanding AI models, which eliminate noises from your and recipients’ voices (Omni Directional) in real time, ensuring the best calling clarity and experience for everyone you call.

Benefits of using Omni directional noise cancellation:

  • Clear communication (outbound calls): Your voice sounds clearer, irrespective of your environment or background. Our AI models process your voice and eliminate any background noise your microphone captures.

  • Better understanding (inbound calls): Understand your recipient's voice clearly, irrespective of their environment or background. The AI model clarifies the recipient's voice before it reaches your ears, without any action needed from the recipient's side.

  • No additional commitments: The Omni directional Noise Cancellation capability is embedded in the latest Sanas NC app versions (3.2.17 and above) and requires no extra hardware to deploy.

Before you begin

  • You’ll need admin access to the Sanas Portal to perform the configuration below.

  • Ensure all your app users in the Workspace use the latest available Sanas NC app version. App users with incompatible Sanas NC app versions won't see the Omni Directional features on their apps.

Configure Omni Directional Noise Cancellation

  1. Log in to the Sanas Portal using your credentials.

  2. Click Settings from the navigation menu and scroll to the App configuration section.

  3. Select the “Allow noise cancellation for outgoing and incoming audio” option to enable the omnidirectional noise cancellation feature.

📔 Note: The feature gets enabled at the Workspace level and will be available for all users running the compatible Sanas NC app versions.

  4. App users need to start a new app session to reflect the features of their app. Refer to the Using Sanas Noise Cancellation app guide for app users’ instructions.

  5. (Optional) Enforce the app configurations for all app users if required. Doing this will disallow the app users to disable the Sanas Noise Cancellation manually from their app, hence allowing you to align with the organization's policies.

    1. Select Disallow users to Enable/Disable Noise Cancellation.

    2. You can still disable Noise Cancellation for specific app users or Teams in the enforcement-enabled Workspace from the Sanas Portal for any exceptions.

  6. Click Save to apply the changes made to the app configurations.
