Cisco Jabber: Configure Audio Device

Introduction

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for audio configuration on Cisco Jabber. Sanas requires continuous access to the audio stream to cancel noise from your audio in real time; therefore, Sanas devices must be selected under Cisco Jabber's audio settings.

Before you begin

  • Ensure that Cisco Jabber and the Sanas applications are already installed on your computer.

  • Ensure your Sanas App is running and activated.

  • Ensure you have the required permissions on Jabber to modify the audio settings.

Audio configuration

1. Launch Cisco Jabber

  • Open the Cisco Jabber application.

  • Log in with your credentials if prompted.

2. Access Audio Settings

  • Click the Settings icon (gear icon) in the Jabber window.

  • Navigate to File > Options.

  • Select Audio from the left-side menu.

3. Select Sanas devices

  • Select Sanas devices under the Microphone and Speaker drop-down menu.

    Note: Configure Sanas devices based on your Noise Cancellation setup:

    • Inbound and Outbound Noise Cancellation — Select a Sanas device for both microphone and speaker.

    • Outbound Noise Cancellation only — Select a Sanas device for microphone only.

  • Adjust the audio level slider — we recommend a setting between 80% and 100%.

4. Set audio device preferences

  • On the Audio settings page, click Advanced at the bottom.

  • In the Advanced audio options, set the device preference.

  • Set the Sanas devices, as configured in step 3.

5. Save Changes

  • Click Apply, then click OK to save your settings.
