How to use Speech Intelligence on a call?

Prev Next

Introduction

Sanas Speech Intelligence auto-generates post-call analytics to help you complete notes or capture key takeaways from each call. It works independently as a standalone product, and can also be paired with other Sanas products — such as Accent Translation, Noise Cancellation, or Speech Enhancement — to get the most out of Sanas. For example, you can use Accent Translation during a call, then review Speech Intelligence's analytics once it ends.

This guide covers how to use Speech Intelligence on the Sanas App.

Before You Begin

  1. Verify if you have access to Speech Intelligence.

  2. If you do not see its panel in your Sanas App, contact your supervisor or your account admins.

Note: For detailed steps on signing in and setting up the Sanas App, refer to this article.

Using Speech Intelligence

Before the call

  1. Launch the Sanas App, and authenticate if required. The Speech Intelligence panel will automatically appear as an extended window alongside your regular Sanas controls (as shown in the image above).

  2. Enable the Sanas toggles for your desired products — Accent Translation, Speech Enhancement, or Language Translation, whenever needed.

  3. Ensure your Sanas App and softphone/conferencing platform are configured before starting the call.

During the call

Speech Intelligence automatically processes your calls in the background by detecting when a call starts and ends. For example, when you answer or initiate a call using your telephony system, softphone, or conferencing platform, the Sanas App automatically recognizes the active call and displays an Ongoing Call indicator in the bottom-right corner of the app, along with a real-time call timer.

Note: To manually stop transcription during a call, click Stop on the Sanas App or widget.

After the call

When a call ends or is terminated on your telephony system, softphone, or conferencing platform, the Ongoing Call indicator in the Speech Intelligence panel automatically stops. Speech Intelligence then processes the completed call, performs post-call analysis, and generates insights.

Note: With both the End of Call Detection and Silence Detection models enabled, Speech Intelligence determines when a call has ended by detecting common farewell phrases, such as "bye" or "goodbye," followed by a sustained period of silence from both participants. Once these conditions are met, Speech Intelligence automatically ends the transcription and begins generating post-call analysis and insights.

Once the call ends, follow these steps:

  1. Return to the Sanas App.

  2. Review the following sections for call insights by expanding them.
