Introduction

This guide provides instructions for installing the Sanas Accent Translation (AT) app on your Windows computer.

Installation methods on Windows

You can install the Sanas AT app on Windows machines in the following ways:

  • Windows Installer: Download the Windows Installer (.exe) file and run it for manual installation.

  • Remote deployment (CLI method): Download the Microsoft Software Installer (.msi) or installer (.exe) file and deploy it on the connected computers.

Before you begin

  • You’ll need access to the Sanas Portal to download the app copy.

  • Ensure you have the credentials to install or deploy the Sanas app on connected computers. If necessary, seek support from your in-house IT Team for remote app deployment.

Procedure

Step 1: Download the Sanas app

  1. Log in to the Sanas Portal using your credentials.

  2. Click Download App from the navigation menu.

  3. Click Download Windows App and select your desired file format to start downloading.

    • .exe file: Windows Installer for manual installation.

    • .msi file: Microsoft installer file suitable for remote app deployment

  4. Downloading starts automatically.

    Latest release
    The latest released version of the Sanas Accent Translation app is 3.1.39

  5. Copy the Installer ID and save it securely. We will need this ID during the installation process.

    📔 Note: Installer IDs are unique for each Workspace and work only with the app copy downloaded from the same Workspace.

Step 2: Install the Sanas app

Choose your installation method for app deployment:

  1. Navigate to the folder where you’ve downloaded the Sanas AT app.

  2. Double-click on the downloaded file to launch the setup wizard.

  3. Click Next.

  4. Select the checkbox to accept the terms in the License Agreement, then click Next.

  5. Enter the Installer ID that you copied earlier at Step 1e.

  6. Click Next.

  7. Review the default installation directory, then click Next. If needed, click Change… to modify the installation directory.

  8. Follow the on-screen instructions and complete the installation.

  1. Navigate to the folder where you’ve downloaded the Sanas AT app.

  2. Launch the Windows Command Prompt as an administrator.

  3. Navigate to the directory containing the downloaded AT app file. image.png

  4. Run the below command for your downloaded AT file format:

    ℹ️ Important: Replace placeholders with actual values

    Ensure you replace the following placeholders with actual values before executing command lines

    • App version - Replace V2-2.24.XXXX.X with the app version you’ve downloaded. For example, in the below screencapture the app version is V3-3.1.39.

    • Installer ID - Replace “xxxx-xxxx-xxxx” with the actual installer id you copied during Step 1e. For example, the command gets updated as */installerid=ABCD-1234-EFGH-IJKL.


    With .exe file

    "SanasAccenttranslator-V2-2.XX.XXXX.X-XXX-prod.exe" INSTALLERID="XXXX-XXXX-XXXX" /qb


    With .msi file

    msiexec /i "SanasAccenttranslator-V2-2.XX.XXXX.X-XXX-prod.msi" INSTALLERID="XXXX-XXXX-XXXX" /qb

Step 3: Verify installation

📔 Note: UAK is the default app activation mode on Sanas AT.

  • From the Windows start menu, search for the Sanas Accent Translation app.

  • Launch the AT app and activate it. For help, refer to Using Sanas AT app.
