Introduction

The Sanas Desktop Application (Sanas App) is your platform for accessing Sanas products; the AI-powered tools that help you sound clear, confident, and understood on every call. The app runs quietly in the background while you focus on your conversations, with app controls that stay within your reach at all times.

This guide walks you through the app's interface, controls, and key features so you know exactly what everything does before you start using it.

User workflow

Getting started with the Sanas App follows three steps:

  1. Authenticate —Sign in to the Sanas app using your credentials.

  2. Set your controls — Navigate to your Sanas product and enable the necessary controls.

  3. Verify your audio — Confirm that your softphone or conferencing platform is using the correct audio configuration before you start taking calls.

For detailed instructions, see the Sanas App user guide.

Product tabs

A vertical tab layout on the left side of the app lets you navigate between your available Sanas products. The currently selected product is visually highlighted.

App controls

Use the primary controls on the app to manage your Sanas product usage. Each product has its own set of controls, described in the sections below.

Imporant to know before you start:

  • Admin reporting: Every time you disable an app control toggle, the action is logged in your administrator's activity log. Your administrator can see when controls were turned off and for how long.

  • Locked controls: Your administrator can lock toggle responsiveness. When this is active, you cannot manually change app controls, the app runs with your administrator's preconfigured preferences. If your toggles appear unresponsive, this is likely the reason.

Accent Translation (AT) adjusts your accent in real-time so your recipients can understand you more easily without altering your voice identity. Use AT if your role involves speaking with customers in a different region or accent group.

  • Accent Translation (AT): Toggle AT on or off during your calls. When AT is enabled, select a voice type between Masculine or Feminine to match your natural voice.

  • Noise Cancellation (NC): Manage NC independently for outgoing audio (what you say) and incoming audio (what you hear) using dedicated toggles. Use both toggles when you're in a noisy environment; use just the incoming toggle if your recipient's background is noisy, but yours is quiet.

  • Fallback NC: When you disable the AT toggle, the app automatically switches to NC-only mode. This is by design to ensure your call remains noise-free even when you have disabled AT. To stop NC as well, disable the NC toggles separately.

Noise Cancellation (NC) removes background noise from your calls in real-time. Use NC when you're working in a shared or noisy space, or when your customer's environment is making it hard to hear them clearly.

  • What you say (outgoing audio): Controls NC on your voice, so your recipient hears clean audio free of your background noise.

  • What you hear (incoming audio): Controls NC on your recipient's voice, so you hear them clearly regardless of their environment.

Language Translation (LT) translates your conversation in real-time, allowing you to have bi-directional multilingual conversations with your customers. Use LT when you're handling calls with customers who speak a different language.

  • Language Translation (LT): Toggle LT on or off during your calls. When LT is enabled, and language preferences are configured, your speech is translated in real time into your recipient's preferred language, and your recipient's speech is translated back into yours.

  • I Speak: Select the language you speak. This sets the input language for translation.

  • They Speak: Select the language your recipient speaks. Your voice is translated into this language for your recipient.

  • Transcription: Enable the transcription toggles to get a real-time text transcript of your conversation — useful for reviewing details after a call or following along during complex interactions.

Speech Enhancement (SE) provides high-fidelity, crystal-clear calls in real-time. Use SE when you're working in a shared or noisy space, or when your customer's environment is making it hard to hear them clearly.
