Introduction

Defining settings within each sub-section—Application Version, Application Settings, Early Access, and Download Preferences—gives you control over how the Sanas desktop app is deployed and behaves across your organization, directly shaping the day-to-day experience of Sanas app users.

The configuration can be applied at the Account level (organization-wide) or Group level. Select the account or group from the Group Tree on the left side of the portal before making changes. Most settings include a Lock Configuration toggle. Enable it to prevent subgroup administrators from overriding the setting.

Application Version

Controls which Sanas App version is deployed. By default, users automatically receive the latest version, or you can pin a specific Application Version instead.

  1. From the Sanas Portal, select Settings.

  2. Under Configuration, look for Desktop Application, then Application Version.

Application Settings

Toggle how the Sanas App behaves.

  1. From the Sanas Portal, select Settings.

  2. Under Configuration, look for Desktop Application, then Application Settings.

Echo Cancellation

Located under Application Settings, enabling this removes echo caused by speaker or headset audio feeding back into the mic.

Hear Your Voice

When enabled, lets users preview how their voice sounds with Sanas on.

Crash Reporting

When enabled, allows the desktop app to send crash and error reports to Sanas to help diagnose issues.

Sanas as Default Microphone/Speaker for OS

When enabled, sets Sanas as the system-level default audio device.

Tip! We strongly recommend keeping these settings Enabled to ensure optimal use of Sanas.

Mute Sanas Speaker/Microphone

When enabled, lets users temporarily mute the Sanas speaker/microphone during calls.

Note: These settings are visible to Sanas Admins only.

Automatic Volume Optimization

When the toggle is ON, it automatically adjusts microphone volume for optimal conversations.

Note: Turning this ON sets Microphone Volume Adjustment to Flexible volume control.

Microphone/Speaker Volume Adjustment

When disabled, App Users cannot adjust the Sanas Microphone/Speaker volume, which remains fixed at 100%.

Note: These settings are visible to Sanas Admins only.

Sanas Personalization

A process of preserving a user's natural voice traits during translation is also configured from this area.

Note: Refer to Personalize your voice profile article for more details.

Allow Users to Toggle Products

When enabled, lets users enable or disable Sanas products in the app.

Auto Enable Sanas on App Launch

When enabled, Sanas automatically turns on whenever the app relaunches, regardless of the user's previous preferences.

Sanas Widget

Allow users to turn Sanas products on or off directly from the widget without opening the full application.

Microphone Stream

Automatically pauses the microphone stream when no call is active, and resumes it once a call is detected.

Early Access

A toggle that lets users access upcoming (beta) features and models before general availability, once enabled in the Sanas Portal.

  1. From the Sanas Portal, select Settings.

  2. Under Configuration, look for Desktop Application, then Early Access.

Download Preferences

Sets a schedule for when the app can be updated. Ensure users are active on the system during these times, as they'll receive prompts to accept the installation.

  1. From the Sanas Portal, select Settings.

  2. Under Configuration, look for Desktop Application, then Download Preferences.

Download Settings

Schedule a time window (Start Time/End Time) during which the app can download and prompt users to install updates.

Bandwidth Throttling

Configure a bandwidth throttle to limit the bandwidth used for downloads (optional).

To do so:

  1. Check the Would you like to configure bandwidth throttle? box.

  2. Define the limit — 100kbps, 200kbps, 300kbps.
