Introduction
This article explains how your organization is onboarded to the Sanas Portal and the default configurations applied to your account. It covers accessing the Portal, reviewing your account's default settings, and setting up Portal and App Users.
Estimated setup and configuration time: 10–15 minutes
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
A Sanas Portal sign-up link, sent in the welcome email from Sanas.
A stable internet connection to complete the setup.
Note: Didn't receive your welcome email? Contact your Sanas CSM for assistance.
Access the Sanas Portal
The Sanas Portal is your centralized web-based console for managing and monitoring the Sanas application across your organization.
Open the welcome email from Sanas and select Accept Invitation to access the Portal.
First time logging in? Create a new password for your account. If you've already set a password, sign in directly.
Confirmation: You'll land on the Portal dashboard.
Review your Account Defaults
To streamline onboarding, every new Sanas account comes preconfigured with the following default settings:
Setting | Default Value |
|---|---|
Account Name | Named after your enterprise |
Group Structure | Default Group (system-generated) |
Authentication Mode | UAK (Unique Activation Key) |
Products | Based on your subscription agreement |
Lock Configuration | Disabled |
You can review and update these settings after onboarding is complete. To learn more about each option, see Groups and Authentication Modes.
Note: If your account uses UAK or Email-Passcode authentication, App Users must be added to the Portal manually. If your account uses Auto-Activation or SSO, App Users are added automatically the first time they sign in.
Invite Portal Users
Portal Users are administrators who manage your Sanas account. They're assigned one of the following roles:
Role | Responsibilities |
|---|---|
Account Admin | Full access to all Portal features, including account settings. |
Group Admin | Full access to assigned groups; cannot change account-level settings. |
To invite a Portal User:
In the group tree, select the group where you want the administrator to have access.
Go to Groups & Users > Portal Users.
Select Invite Portal Users.
Enter the user's email address and select a role.
Select Send Invite.
Confirmation: The invited administrator receives an email with a link to access the Portal.
Note: You can also create custom roles tailored to your organization's needs.
Add App Users
App Users are the individuals who use the Sanas application. How they are added to the Portal depends on your account's authentication mode:
UAK or Email-Passcode
Users must be added to the Portal before they can sign in to the Sanas application.
Auto-Activation or SSO
Users are added automatically to the Default Group the first time they signed in, and can be moved to another group later.
To add users manually:
In the group tree, select the group where you want to add users.
Go to Groups & Users > App Users.
Select Invite App Users or Add App Users.
Enter the required user details for your authentication mode, then confirm.
Confirmation: Added users can now sign in to the Sanas application using the authentication method configured for your account.
