Overview
Sanas Language Translation (LT) enables real-time, bidirectional speech-to-speech translation for seamless multilingual conversations. Using an AI-powered audio pipeline, LT captures speech in one language, translates it, and delivers the output in the recipient's preferred language—all with near-real-time latency and full contextual accuracy.
How it works
Speak — The agent or customer speaks naturally in their preferred languages configured at the Sanas application.
Translate — Our AI models capture the speech, translate it in real-time, and synthesize a voice that closely matches the original speaker.
Listen — The recipient hears the translated speech in their language within seconds.
Translation begins within an average of 3 seconds, and voice synthesis occurs within the first second of the call.
Key features
Near-real-time latency — Sanas starts translating in near-real-time (with an average latency of 3 seconds) during a live call, keeping your multilingual conversations engaging and naturally flowing.
Enterprise readiness — Deployable via the Sanas Desktop application and managed through the Portal, ensuring seamless enterprise integration.
Privacy-first architecture — No conversation data or voice samples are stored beyond the duration of your call, ensuring complete data privacy.
Custom glossary support — Configure up to 100 custom terms, brand names, and proper nouns to bypass translation. Glossary terms configured in the Sanas Portal are automatically applied during live calls.
Translation captioning — Agents can view source and translated transcriptions for the entire conversation in real-time. Transcription data is removed when LT is turned off.
Noise Cancellation — LT automatically enables Noise Cancellation when active, ensuring clear audio quality for optimal translation accuracy.

Important
Best Practice: We recommend that agents disable the Language Translation feature when not on a call.
Number Handling: Currently for unusual number formats or long sequences (such as phone numbers, account numbers, or addresses), transcription and translation output may vary. Improvements are in progress.
Language Detection: Automatic language detection is not currently supported. The configured language settings will be used throughout the call.
